What is Notion?

Notion is a powerful project management app, wiki tool, and word processor, among other things. All Notion plans allow you to add unlimited pages and content. You can access your data across devices, and even add Guests with different permission levels. You can export pages as HTML, PDF or Markdown/CSV, and in some cases can even export the entire Workspace.

An annual plan is about $96 USD per user at full price - but you only really need one paid Member (the Workspace Owner) in the workspace. Other collaborators can be added as Guests for free.

How It Works

Recommended Notion Plans

Individuals and small teams can make great use of the Free plan, with the paid Plus plan as a more robust option. The Business and Enterprise plans are suited for much larger teams and companies.

Guests, Members & Public Access

You can share your Notion content with the  Share menu on the top right of a page. This lets you add collaborators with Full Access, Edit, Comment or View access. You can also make things Public for anyone to view in the Publish section of the Share menu.

Make sure to add your collaborators as Guests, not **Members, to avoid charges or limits - unless you’re familiar enough with Notion to know how the permissions and billing work, in which case go wild. 🙂

A workspace Member can be given access to an entire Workspace or Teamspace, but counts towards certain limits.

A workspace Guest is always free. They can be given full access to individual Pages in a workspace, but not the entire Workspace.
